The Nightingale community gathered on the morning of November 16 in celebration of Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Students and families decorated the student center, made rangolis, and enjoyed traditional cuisine. Continuing the celebration in the Lower School, Class II students welcomed three Nightingale parents and their children to learn about Diwali. Class I also had the opportunity to make rangolis. On November 17, Nightingale Upper School students invited peers from Dalton, Collegiate, Brearley, Spence, Browning, Horace Mann, Hewitt, Dwight-Franklin School, and Chapin for a South Asian Student Interschool Diwali Dinner.
