During Lower School’s Latine & Hispanic Heritage Month assembly, Class III/IV students and ProCom shared clips from Latin and Spanish songs that connect to family memories. The Middle School learned about the role of music in Latine and Hispanic culture, in addition to changemakers in the musical community, such as Mercedes Sosa and Lin Manuel Miranda. The Upper School LatinE club hosted a panel of students and ProCom who shared photos and spoke about aspects of their culture, such as food, music, and family traditions.

On September 27, our community was greeted in the lobby with Mariachi Real de México, a mariachi band of which history faculty Mr. Ulibarri is a member. Mr. Ulibarri also performed with Mariachi Real de México this past weekend at The Met and Carnegie Hall in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month.
