Lower School students had the opportunity to choose their own winter holiday adventure and spend time exploring holidays in the winter months. Lower School teachers hosted rooms related to a handful of holidays they personally celebrate, shared picture books, and facilitated conversation. These included: Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Lunar New Year, and New Year’s Eve. Each student was able to choose two holidays and was encouraged to choose one mirror (a holiday they celebrate or know a lot about) and one window (a holiday they do not celebrate or don’t know much about).
