Making Memories at Minimesters

FEBRUARY 2, 2024

Middle School students recently enjoyed a weeklong "minimester" full of unique and exciting learning opportunities. For the entirety of the week, students hear from expert guests, engage in hands-on activities, go on field trips, and more. Now in its ninth year, minimesters are held annually in between the fall and spring semester. The brainchild of Ms. Claire du Nouy, minimesters offer students a break from traditional learning and an opportunity to dive into a niche topic of their choosing. For example, students in the Women in Entrepreneurship club opted to expand their studies in their WIE minimester where they heard from professional female entrepreneurs, went on field trips to the Guggenheim and the Fhitting Room on the Upper West Side, and learned the ins and outs of business and entrepreneurship.
